On arrival you will be welcomed with a coffee or tea and fresh pastries whilst the designer Vicky introduces herself and explains how the workshop will run and say hello to your fellow budding designers.

Vicky will then begin with a presentation explaining how to choose your own colour choices with a fun test to help you realise what you are drawn too, this can be quite a revelation to discover what you prefer! .

Vicky will introduce the different mediums that are available whether it be paints, wallpapers, panelling or a mixture of the exciting products that are out there.

She will also spend time explaining how to make the best use of the area you have available and what works in both a practical nature but fulfills your own personal ideas.

The way the room flows and how to make the best use of natural light and the available lighting products that are out there will also be covered.

Soft furnishings can make a huge difference and again help and advise will be given.

One of the topics also covered will be the solutions of storage which is useful in any room of your home .

You will all have different ideas and projects and you will receive the opportunity to discuss your own personal dream with Vicky.

However don’t feel you have to have decided on something to work on the format of the workshop will give you the knowledge and tools with any future project you wish to do.

You will design your own mood boards with plenty of choices of fabrics ,colour examples ,etc to build your design, these are to take away with you as well as goody bag containing more info and a booklet compiled by Vicky to help you every step of the way.

Tea and Coffee and soft drinks will be on tap through out the day with a chioce of fresh pastries to enjoy on arrival.

A light lunch will be served approximately 12.-12.30 pm sourced from local ingredients from the Ribble Valley.

At the end of the workshop we will chat over a chilled glass of Prosecco and toast your success and how you think the workshop has gone .!

WORKBOOK

You’ll receive a bespoke workbook tailored to the workshop topic. It includes practical templates and guides you can use to apply what you’ve learned to your own project

.This will be a handy go to on any future design projects you may tackle in the future.

This workbook will be ideal for you to jot down notes and ideas as the workshop progresses.

MOODBOARD

An A3 board will be provided on which to build your individual mood boards,

You will be able to attach colour swatches, materials , key images and photos etc. to evoke your particular style or concept.

A mood board is a great visual aid which shows in particular how your colour choices and textures go together and can really help choosing your final purchases

The board will also help show your loved ones what you have in mind rather then a description alone.

GOODY BAG

We are also providing a “Goody Bag” for you to take home which will include a discount voucher to be used against any purchases or services from both Inspire Design and Felipe Garcia Mortgage and Protection Services.

Local businesses have also provided vouchers you can redeem.

A hand made tea light from the candles we stock will also be popped in there to enjoy in your own home.

Inspire Design Studio itself is a beautiful space to work in and will certainly help to get your creative juices flowing.

Located at the top of Longridge we have enviable views over the Ribble Valley with an outdoor area available to smokers or anyone who wishes for a breath of our fresh country air.

Comfortable well appointed areas with plenty of space to work on are an asset with room to spread out..

The studio has displays of samples throughout for you to use for your projects especially when creating your individual mood boards.

We have a few items for sale including bespoke furniture ,cushions, silk flower arrangements, and beautiful hand made candles which will provide a gorgeous aroma on the day.

Vicky is able to use up to date technology in the studio to help guide you through the workshop..

If you are travelling by train to Preston Station there are regular busses available direct to Longridge from the Bus Station.
